Hello friend! I am so honored that you would stop by my little space on the Internet.  I wish we could go grab a coffee and sit and talk.  I am much better at chatting face-to-face than writing to a faceless screen.  But…I will do my best to share a little about my heart and my journey up to this point.

I grew up in a family of educators.  I guess you could say that teaching was in my blood.  My grandmother, mother, and several of my aunts were all teachers.  As a young girl, I would “teach” my dolls in all manner of subjects.  I knew that someday, I would be a teacher as well and that would be my calling in life.  Naturally, I went on to earn my teaching certificate and began a career teaching jr. high students.  Although I thoroughly enjoyed the students, I felt unfulfilled in what I was doing.  At that time, an opportunity presented itself for me to work with a company that trained teachers in a reading software program.  I thought, “This is it!  I am made for this!”  And while I certainly loved the travel and the challenge of speaking to and training teachers, it still left me longing for something more.

After meeting my husband and getting married, we were blessed with a little girl.  God allowed me the opportunity to stay home with her when she turned 2.  Knowing I would never get that time back, I jumped at the chance to do that.  The years that followed included home schooling my daughter for a season, welcoming my two sons, and working from home in the health care industry.  I was also serving in my church in women’s ministry, children’s ministry, and being a community group shepherd.   Those years of bible study, spiritual formation classes and serving taught me so much about the heart of God and His heart for His people.

Through all of this, however, I still felt restless in my spirit…as if God had something different in mind for me.  It wasn’t until I began speaking at our women’s retreats and preschool mom’s group, that I finally felt I was living out my calling.  The years of preparing lessons, teaching, and speaking as well as the spiritual depth I gained over the years, had prepared me for God’s calling on my life.  In His perfect timing, He used everything I had experienced to direct my path.

With that said, I am excited to travel this road of public speaking and see where I end up!  My desire and hope in this is simply to exalt God and encourage others.  And hopefully have a few laughs along the way!  Thank you for stopping by and I sure hope we can get that coffee soon!
